Residencies can be arranged for as short as one day or as long as several weeks. Previous sites have included....

  • community art centers
  • colleges and universities
  • high school digital photography classes
  • elementary schools
  • youth rehabilitation centers
  • Mourning Hope program for grieving children,
  • Bright Lights summer program for middle school students
  • Girl Scout day camps
  • Training programs for the blind and visually impaired

In addition to a schedule of demonstrations and hands-on classes, students observe me creating artwork that remains with the site.  A simple one-day opportunity might focus on photo transfers into wax; a week-long residency might include wax painting, printing and working with photos. The residency calendar fills fast so contact me at encaustics@windstream.net as soon as possible to have a choice of dates.

Matching grants for schools, community sites and non-profit art centers are available from the Nebraska Arts Council...
